YES!

Every State as well as the Federal Government offers a variety of grants and incentives for renovating or building green. We have helped clients obtain millions of dollars from these programs for the good work they are doing.

Funds are typically available for renovations as well as new construction of high performance HVAC systems, lighting, controls and building envelope. Incentives are usually prescriptive (item by item) or can be comprehensive (based on overall project energy reduction) and may fund up to 50% of costs depending on the scope and programs available at the time. This includes renewable energy systems such as solar, wind, biomass and fuel cell projects.

We find many A/E design firms and contractos are unaware of these programs.

The programs are not retroactive, meaning you must apply and receive approval of incentives prior to start of construction. If you pay a utility bill, you are eligible for the State incentives and if you are a non-profit, you can often assign things like Federal tax credits to your consultants or contractors to buy down services and costs.

We can typically offset 1-10% of your project’s entire cost through these programs. Don’t leave this money on the table!
