Associate Membership

Associate Members hold a unique and vital position within the GBC. Unlike supporting or affiliate members, Associates are comprised of the firms and professionals who collectively fill set, exclusive roles in the Center to provide the wide array of sustainability services we offer. Exclusivity gives Associate Members the right of first refusal on any opportunity related to their role. By building this vetted, integrative team, the GBC both provides consumers with the best-in-class comprehensive sustainability solutions possible and Associate Members with an expanded network and potential revenue stream through the collaborative. Membership is via invitation only and requires an annual membership fee on a sliding scale depending on the size of your business and regular participation in marketing, business development and educational efforts. We are currently seeking associate members in structural engineering, carbon reduction planning, passive house, and more. Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Members are a non-exclusive but limited pool of service providers who may access the services and support of other GBC members, have the opportunity to be part of proposals if there is no associate member in that category or they decline a particular opportunity, and receive discounts on GBC educational programs and opportunity to participate. We are currently seeking affiliate members in commissioning, energy modeling, MEP engineering, architecture, construction management, cost estimating, general construction, LEED/WELL/LBC administration and more. Affiliate membership requires an annual fee on a sliding scale depending on the size of your business similar to associate members but at a greatly discounted rate. Supporting Membership

Supporting Membership is also a non-exclusive position and in an unlimited pool of service providers or interested parties. They have discounted access to GBC educational programs, access to GBC sustainability technical staff for support and member services and may have the opportunity to be part of proposals, following Associate and Affiliate members. This is a more general at-large membership for those who wish to remain aligned with a reputable green building service provider such as GBC but not seeking exclusivity or providing services necessarily who just want someplace to go when they have questions or participate in an organization like ours with a sustainable mission. Individuals, non-profits, institutions, and others should consider being a supporting member to help further our mission to create a culture of sustainability.
